Everything! For a modest motel it was the best place we stayed in our entire trip around Tassie and Melbourne. We were so surprised with what these owners has packed into this country motel room. Anything you could have wished for was in this room. It was great value too. The decor and styling are appropriate to the age of the motel so not modern but updated accordingly, looked perfect to us, they had thought of everything, right down to a non slip mat if you needed it. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, great internet and so glad we stayed there. Restaurant was booked out by a bus tour so cannot comment on that. When travelling through Queenstown an overnight stay here will be pleasant and delightfully not bust your budget. We loved it and hope the owners enjoy many fully booked weeks as they deserve it for all their attention to detail and thoughtfulness in the room set up.

After hearing some grim stories about Queenstown accomodation, there was no choice but to book here as the rest of Queenstown and Strahan booked out. On arrival just looked like a normal motel, however receptionist greeted us with a smile and was most helpful and accommodating and our room left us a bit speechless as very clean, spacious, comfortable with beautiful decor. Everything we needed was available, even biscuits for our coffee - an added bonus as this doesn't happen anymore. Very quiet location gave us a good nights sleep. Recommended to go to the Empire for Dinner and once again blown away by the quality and quantity of food and menu and helpfulness of the staff who were all very proactive, happy and helpful. All in all a great experience and would return there again

There was decaf coffee which is thoughtful of the property. The property itself is located along the road leading to the highway. Easy check in and check out process. The aircon is unable to keep up with the cold but it is expected and not a big deal. There was electric blankets provided. Fully equipped kitchen. Toaster, microwave, fridge, kitchem utensils. The unit was clean and tidy. There was a TV. Wifi is available and free of use. Unit has parking spot in front of it which is handy for towing luggage. It was a 2 to 3 minute drive to the nearest shop. There are 2 IGAs in town. Also a pizza place which served delicious potato bake and pizzas! Don't miss stopping by the Horsetail Falls Lookout Walk and Iron Blow Lookout.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Gold Rush Motor Inn. The room was sparkling clean, nicely decorated and exceptionally well-equipped with a kitchenette that included a good-sized fridge, sink, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and dishes. It was very spacious with lots of room to spread out, and the bed with its lovely linens was oh so comfortable. The accommodation is slightly away from the main business district of the town, but Queenstown is a pretty small place, so this didn't matter in the least. The location is excellent for driving to Montezuma Falls (about an hour), Strahan and Hogarth Falls (45 minutes), Iron Blow and the Horsetail Falls. Upon leaving Queenstown, it is a pleasant (1.5 hour) drive to Cradle Mountain.

My two-night stay at Gold Rush Hotel was a delightful experience. The room boasted a wonderfully comfortable queen-size bed, and the electric blanket was a godsend, especially for someone accustomed to Darwin's warmer climate. The high ceilings added to the spacious feel of the room, which was impeccably clean. I appreciated the convenience of the various dispensers on the wall, offering everything from shampoo to shaving cream. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. A highlight of my stay was dining at Mimso Kitchen, conveniently located next door. The food was exquisite, and I highly recommend it to fellow guests. Overall, a fantastic stay with top-notch amenities and service. I'll definitely be returning!
